Newgrass Festival Spotlight - Sam Bush


Last night's artists included the founder of Newgrass himself, Sam Bush. From Bowling Green, Bush, a member of Newgrass Revival along with Bela Fleck. The band toured with Leon Russell for several years. He was also a part of Emmylou Harris' Nash Ramblers and frequently performed with Lyle Lovett and Bela Fleck's Flecktones. Bush, 'The Father of Newgrass', has worked with Doc Watson, David Grisman, Dolly Parton and many others.

  1. I always admire people who show great prowess in making music. This guy is talented and for sure, he can bring life to venues once he starts performing!
