Ending the war in Iraq is not as easy. USA can´t just get up and go home from there. USA destabilized the region and just going away would be very irresponsible.
This song came too late. USA should never go into this war for oil and it should rather invest into alternative sources of energy and into cars with 4 l/100km and not as it is now, that they have almost 20 l/100km of fuel.
I agree completely - and I think most Americans do as well. Neil Young did record an anti-war album on his own some time ago, from his basement - and there have been others as well. I fear our presidents' psychology of fear has worked well - not that most people here believe the rhetoric of 'the terrorists are coming, the terrorists are coming!' but that, per the Patriot Act, anyone opposing the war is a terrorist, basically. So people are silent. I mean, he shouldn't have gotten into office the first time - he did not win the election. But there he was. And is. Hope it doesn't happen again.
